Food Measurement - Institute of Food Science and Technology
Department of Food Measurement and Process Control
Our department was established in 1968 with the name of Department of Mathematics-Physics-Agrometeorology. Colleagues do their research in the field of engineering sciences since the beginning, and search for the practical applications of scientific results. The main interests are the modern sensor technology of food industry (e.g. electronig tongue, ultrasound, machine vision), rapid physical and non-destructive measurements, industrial automation. Our activity grown toward new fields of robotics, data mining and big data in the industry. The department is managing special training programs of "Food Technology Automation and Digitalization" (BSc) and "Food Industry Process Control Design" (MSc). The teaching activity covers all levels (BSc, MSc and PhD) in the institute. We have an active team of young researchers including international PhD students.
